The Valdes Peninsula
The Valdes Peninsula is located on the Atlantic coast of Chubut Province and roughly 4hrs away from Buenos Aires by plane. The Peninsula was granted World Heritage Site status by UNESCO in 1999 for it’s importance to marine species, in particular the Southern Right Whales that come to the area each year between May and December to breed.
